Exploring God's Call

We prepare people for licensed ministries in the Church, help people deepen their discipleship, offer continuing professional development for those already in ministry, and refreshment opportunities for the whole people of God.

Sharing God’s Love

In our common life, we integrate worship, study, service, and fellowship to equip people with a hunger for ministry and mission, the pursuit of social justice, and growing the whole people of God in grace.

Resourcing God’s Work

If you study with us we will help you integrate your spiritual and personal development with opportunities for contextual learning and interpretation, and build your skills for ministerial practice. Learning at Westcott builds our ability to reflect on how God is at work in the world and provides the foundation for a passionate and life-giving discipleship, ministry, and service wherever God calls you.

Open Days

Places are available to book for our upcoming Open Days taking place Saturday 8 February and Saturday 3 May 2025.

Welcome to Westcott

In times of change for the Church of England, Westcott House seeks to prepare women and men for public ministry in a wide range of missional contexts. We welcome people from a variety of backgrounds and we are actively developing the range of pathways available to equip them for engaging with their local communities for the proclamation of the Gospel.

As the Church now looks at how it may set free the ministry of the whole people of God, Westcott’s vision is to form ministers who are mission-focused, collaborative, adaptable and deeply prayerful. Above all we seek to enable ordinands to respond flexibly and sensitively to the Church’s priorities now and in the future.

Life at Westcott House is enriched by our ecumenical and interfaith partnerships, and rooted in the academic excellence and remarkable diversity of the Cambridge Theological Federation and the Universities of Cambridge and Durham. Westcott House provides a range of flexible training pathways for ordinands, bespoke pathways for independent students, and offers opportunities for sabbaticals.
